Cyberpunk 2077 will sell better on consoles as well. Aside from very rare exceptions, games will always sell better on console. I think Rockstar has missed out on a lot of money (not that they need it) by not releasing a remaster of RDR for current gen consoles and PC.
I'm expecting RDR2 to be ported to PC regardless though, I'm waiting for that version. Click to expand.I think HDR is highly overrated. I’ve used it a handful of times on HDR movies and my eyes felt burned afterwards due to the insane contrast that’s needed. Maybe it’s good for people that always use 100% contrast on their TV’s but I don’t like that at all.
As much as it may sound strange, a PC port is much more common nowadays, as Capcom has done the same with Monster Hunter: World. Multiple other tweets and rumors have been surfacing, all implying to a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Porting a game as massive as Red Dead Redemption 2 over to PC architecture, though, would be time-consuming. That’s assuming, of course, that Rockstar hasn’t already begun such a process. In the meantime, Rockstar is likely prepping for next month’s launch of Red Dead Online.
The thing is, you could get your TV professionally calibrated and it would look better than HDR and basically do the same things with the blacks. My professionally calibrated 1080p TV still looks better than my non calibrated 4K HDR TV without question. Granted I spent $1k more for the 1080p TV so I’m sure that has some bearing on things. • • • • • • • • The PC gamer's dream: Red Dead Redemption 2. Though leaks and rumors about the highly anticipated Rockstar Games sequel finally making its way over onto PC is nothing new, a more recent leak seems to back up suspicions that the franchise might finally be making its way over to the popular platform. A retailer in Europe just lit the rumor mill on fire when they listed the Wild West title up for a PC release come 2019. Given that this is one of the 'largest retailers for consumer electronics' and not just some random shop, the idea that PC players will finally get their hands on Red Dead seems more likely than ever before. The team over at were the ones to spot the listing and managed to take a screenshot before it was taken down: Keep in mind that this is not the first leak to show a potential PC port.
Earlier this year it was that a Rockstar employee had a PC listing attached to their work on Red Dead Redemption 2 on the job site LinkedIn. The previously confirmed Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms were evident as well, but it's the PC version that's a doozy. Unfortunately, the listing has since been removed but everything that is on the Internet is forever, mistakes included. 'After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive.
As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.' Are you excited for the open-world adventure in the Wild, Wild West possibly coming to PC? Thoughts on what you've seen so far?
